Recommended Velyn’s Talent Trees

The ideal talent tree build for Velyn focuses on control effects, which slow down the enemy legion. There’s also a strong emphasis on the “reticent” skill that silences targets, preventing them from casting rage skills. If you plan to use Velyn as your main hero, you will want to focus more on a supportive role since he acts primarily as a disabler.

A hybrid build is also worth considering, providing increased marching speed and diverse skills from control, PvP, and magic trees.

Story

Welcome to our detailed exploration of Velyn, the mystical mage who is excel at PvP and Control in Call of Dragons. Velyn can be unlocked using a golden key from the gold chest or through the daily deal packages.

Skills & Abilities

Let’s delve into Velyn’s skills, starting with his first one, Frozen Star, which we suggest maxing out before moving on to the others. This AoE skill hits the target and two surrounding legions with magic damage and a freezing effect that slows marching speeds.

Velyn’s second skill amplifies the hero’s skill damage and marching speed when in an open field.

The third skill also increases magic units’ skill crit rate and defense in Velyn’s Legion.

His last skill, “Icy Interdiction,” gives him a 20% chance to freeze the target and break their magic defense. It makes him an excellent ‘disabler’ hero, hindering enemies from charging in too quickly.

The “Awakened Skill,” a passive ability, is a new addition to his arsenal. This skill is triggered when a rage skill is cast on a frozen target, dealing additional hero skill damage and removing the frozen effect. This skill, combined with his other abilities, slows down enemies while dealing significant damage.

Skill Animation

Velyn’s skill animation showcases him as an ice mage, freezing enemies with each skill cast. His abilities become particularly beneficial during large-scale clashes where slowing down opponents is vital.

Hero Pairing

Velyn pairs exceptionally well with Liliya, Waldyr, Alwyn, and Atheus.

When pairing with Liliya, remember that only the main hero can utilize the talent tree. Waldyr, another great choice, increases your chances of freezing enemies. Alwyn, while not freezing opponents, does offer a slow effect. If you prefer a tanky setup with rage gain, consider Atheus.

As for legendaries, Theia is a versatile choice that works well with any unit type.

Combat Practicality

Velyn shines in combat situations where slowing down advancing or retreating enemies can turn the tide of battle. However, using this ice mage requires tactical awareness. As magic units are slow, you must be careful not to get caught in the frontlines.

Velyn’s role might be complex, but it is undeniably rewarding.
